I’m so happy to share this Chaska, Minnesota engagement session with you today! Andrew and Amy live on the west coast, but were planning their wedding in Duluth, Minnesota at Pier B Resort. We scheduled their summer engagement session around the time they were traveling to Minnesota to visit family. The day of their session was the perfect summer night.

Chaska Minnesota Engagement Session

Andrew and Amy brought their adorable dog, Sully, to be a part of their photos and he 100 percent stole the show haha! I love when couples bring their animals who are near and dear to their heart to be involved in pictures. Sometimes with animals, it can feel more hectic as you don’t know how they are going to act, but Sully was the most well-behaved pup I have ever seen.

For Andrew and Amy’s engagement session, we started at Lake Minnewashta Regional Park and traveled 5 to 8 minutes to the back side of the MN Arboretum. The MN Arboretum location is best to use at the tail-end of your session for lighting purposes because it is a open field concept and you only want a little bit of the sun shining behind you.

I am so thankful Andrew and Amy trusted and invested in me to photograph their Chaska engagement session and wedding. It means so much to me to be involved in one of life’s greatest milestones!
