I’m so excited to share this Arneson Acres Park Extended Family session with you today! I love when families want to gift grandparents an extended family session. It is special because those pictures will be hung up in their home and looked at for years to come.

Arneson Acres Park Extended Family Session

It was beautiful fall weather, not too hot and not too cold, for this extended family session at Arneson Acres Park in Edina, Minnesota. The trees were at their perfect peak of fall colors giving you all the orange and yellow pop of color in the background. In Minnesota, sadly, you only get these colors at their peak for about 1 to 2 weeks. Trust me, I wish we could have them all year long. This family was so wonderful during their session and the kids were rock stars! The older two kids were holding the littles, listening to all directions, and smiling so big. For all family photographers like myself, we all know how big of a win that is, haha!

For this family session, I always start the session with the whole family together and the break it down by family to family. I love to capture the siblings together and get quick individuals of the kids for parents and grandparents to have documented. I think it is so important to have family pictures and extended family pictures captured throughout all stages of life because it shows how life was then and when those kids grow up they will be able to look back at these moments!
