Chloe and Cole’s engagement photos in Mankato, MN at Benson Park were simply stunning. We were lucky enough to have the most gorgeous sunny evening for their session. The backlit glow in their images is the stuff of photographer’s dreams!

I absolutely loved Chloe and Cole’s outfit choices for their engagement photos! The white dress Chloe wore is from my client closet. Cole and Chloe are high school sweethearts. They originally met at Gustavus basketball camp when he was in 7th grade and Chloe was in 8th grade. Nothing came of it, until they met again in Mexico when both of their families were on vacation, and we connected through mutual family friends. We hit it off on vacation and started dating a few months later when he was 15 and I was 16.

The Proposal

Cole proposed to Chloe at Rapidan Dam Park on May 22, 2020, the day before Chloe graduated college. He scratched, “Chloe, Marry me?” on a picnic table. I was SO surprised! Earlier that day, Cole had asked Chloe’s dad for his permission, but prefaced that he didn’t know how long he would be able to wait. After meeting up with Chloe’s dad, he immediately called Chloe to ask if she wanted to get lunch with him at the Dam store. He really couldn’t wait any longer!

As of June 3, 2022, they have been together for 8 years. They will tie the knot on June 3, 2023 on their ninth anniversary! In the meantime, enjoy some of my favorites from their engagement photos in Mankato, MN at Benson Park!
