I am so excited to share this summer engagement session at Como Zoo Conservatory with you today! When Lauren and Will reached out for me to capture their wedding, I was beyond excited!

Laura and Will met as undergrads at Gustavus Adolphus College (St. Peter, MN) in 2012 and last March these two celebrated their 8th anniversary!! One of Laura and Will’s mutual friend set the two up by telling Laura that Will thought she was “cool” hehe!! Laura and Will spent their first date celebrating Valentine’s Day together and it simply was the best! They spent hours talking, laughing, and enjoying each other’s company.

Will and Laura put in so much time and hard work into their jobs. Will works for NASA as a Research Engineer. He focuses on aircraft noise, specifically sonic booms. His team is helping to create air travel at supersonic speeds quieter, so we can travel across the world at a quicker speeds with more of a “sonic thump” than a “sonic boom”.

Laura is a band director at a Title 1 middle school in Chesapeake, VA. She teaches 6th, 7th, and 8th grade band. As a teacher, her day to day constantly changes depending on the lesson plans, but she feels lucky that making music is always a part of it. This past year was quite crazy for Laura with the COVID pandemic. Laura has such a big heart and shows it in her teaching as she loves her students so much! Beyond work, Laura and Will love to be outside – whether it’s hiking or just laying out at the beach.

Laura and Will are simply just perfect – kind and down to earth people. The moment I met Laura in our wedding inquiry meeting, I instantly had the biggest smile on my face and truly am so thankful our path’s crossed because I definitely know even after the wedding, Laura and Will will be great friends of mine! I can not thank you two enough for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful day, because I know it will be absolutely AMAZING!
