I’m so excited to be sharing some of my in home newborn photography on the blog today! Lifestyle, casual newborn photo sessions are the current trend for newborn photography, and I’m so glad the industry has gone in this direction. Rather than shooting images in a sterile studio setting, I can capture my sweet clients in their own homes. It’s more convenient for the parents, and I love the intimacy of the final images!

Katherine and Jake welcomed baby John this summer. Sadly, I wasn’t able to capture this session myself, because I went on my own maternity leave unexpectedly early! However, my associate Kacey stepped in to photograph this sweet family on my behalf and I edited the images to give them the Malorie Jane look and feel! I’m so thankful to Katherine and Jake for being so kind and flexible throughout this process as I welcomed by own baby boy into the world around the same time.

I’m thrilled with how Katherine and Jake’s images with baby John turned out. Katherine decided to take advantage of my client closet. Her dress is part of my collection, and I loved how their light-colored outfits photographed. You can just feel the joy radiating from this family as they welcomed their first baby into the world. It’s so special for me to be a part of these exciting milestones in my clients’ lives!
