MEET Malorie

Let’s talk about how amazing Brienna and Zach are!! I could seriously go on and on!! Brienna and Zach are such a laid back, happy, and loving couple! Naturally, seeing them side by side made perfect sense why they choose each other!! I found myself saying throughout the day, “Oh my goodness, I love you two so much!!” haha. Throughout the entire day, they were smiling, going with the flow and making sure everyone surrounding them was having the time of their life and had everything they needed to have a great day. Truly shows how selfless they really are!!

Not only did Brienna and Zach create their beautiful wedding day in two short months, but they had to make some last minute changes two days before the wedding! Brienna and Zach pictured their wedding ceremony outside and reception in a large tent, but after a snowstorm unexpectedly came through Brainerd earlier in the week, they made a last second venue change to The Woods.

This day felt very much like a December day, except it was still October. It was a brisk mid 20’s, partly cloudy, and you could feel the love in the air!! Snow and ice covered the ground and streets everywhere you looked; it was a winter wonderland in the fall!

At any wedding, I start my day off by laying out all the beautiful details the bride and groom want captured! I make sure to capture all the little things that sometimes get unnoticed to be noticed. Brienna and Zach had a wide variety of details, from flowers, to significant jewelry, and a memorial bracelet for Brienna to hold while she walks down the aisle. The beautiful bracelet was a picture of her dad and step dad whom with sorrow have passed away. Brienna’s dad and step dad would be so incredibly proud of the person she is and the heart she has. Brienna’s mother even touched on it in her speech that “Brienna resembles both her dad and her step dad”. That speech truly touched everyone’s heart in that room.

In the late afternoon, we traveled to the Walter’s family home only a few minutes away from the venue for the first look. Zach has been waiting all day to see his forever in her white wedding dress. Zach’s back was turned and on Brienna’s way to see him, she yells, “You look so handsome!” Zach just lit up with smiles!

We stayed at the Walter’s family home for bridal and family portraits. Their home is located on Gull Lake, which is breathtaking! The snow, lake, trees and leaves all were so perfect. You got the feel of a summer day with the sun shining off of the lake, a fall day with the leaves and trees, and a winter day with the snow on the ground and ice on the trees.

All of the groomsmen, bridesmaids and family members were so brave to stand out in the brisk cold. It is not always ideal to stand outside when its 20 degrees out and snow everywhere, but was a must for these gorgeous portraits! Everyone helped each other move through the snow and keep each other warm in effort to make the pictures turn out wonderfully.

At the end of the day, everything was beyond perfect! The sun was shining, everyone was happy, families were brought together and love was shared! I am BEYOND excited for the new Mr. and Mrs. Schwartz! Here’s to forever, Brienna and Zach!!
